Free debt advice

If you have concerns about your ability to repay your debts we can help. With over 15 years experience of giving free debt advice in the UK we will be able to advise you on the best course of action.

How can I get debt advice?

We can offer you a complete counselling session on the internet using our online tool CCCS Debt Remedy. It only takes about 20 minutes to complete and will provide you with a customised recommendation. It is anonymous and free of charge.

Alternatively you can call our Helpline and speak to one of our advisors. They will collect information from you and if necessary will arrange an appointment with a debt counsellor either straight away or at a time that suits you.

What do I need to prepare?

It really helps if you can have the following information to hand before you start the CCCS Debt Remedy process or call our Helpline:

  • Income, including any benefits or pensions
  • Household bills, including mortgage, rent, utilities and any missed payments
  • Other regular payments you make
  • Unsecured debts, such as credit cards, loans, overdrafts
  • Secured debts, including mortgages or secured loans
  • The value of any assets, for example your house, car or caravan
  • Any court orders or court paperwork you have

See how our process works.

Start CCCS Debt Remedy available 24 hours a day or call our Helpline, 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 3pm on Saturday, on 0800 138 1111.

Who uses our help?

Over-indebtedness largely results from a change in financial circumstances, caused by reduced income or overuse of credit, although relationship problems and changes in employment status are also common causes.

Because of this, our clients are from all walks of life and we are able to offer help and advice to those on high incomes as well as those on low ones.
