There is no better way to discover how to motivate and inspire staff than by listening to what they have to say themselves about their jobs.

That is why we use workplace engagement specialists, Best Companies, to canvass the views of our staff based on 8 key areas (my company, leadership, personal growth, my manager, my team, giving something back, fair deal, well being).

In 2007, 434 organisations registered to go for ‘Star Status’ and CCCS were among the top 150 companies achieving this recognition, being awarded a 2 star accreditation and deemed an Outstanding Organisation to work for.

For CCCS, staff find the rewards come from helping our clients who have turned to the charity because of debt problems. They gave an 85% positive score for making a difference in the world, a result bettered by just three organisations in the survey. They also think that CCCS runs on strong principles (80%) and are proud to work for it (81%). All in all staff feel the Charity is a great place to work where their jobs are secure and employees care about each other.

Despite having such an engaged workforce, CCCS views these results as a journey rather than a destination and is continually striving to identify areas where it can do better. We all continue to work to improve our thriving workplace culture.
