Non statutory debt solutions and budgeting

This one day course looks at debt management plans, token payments and full and final settlements. It covers the importance of effective budgeting and how it can be used to assess an individual's financial difficulty.

This training will give you the knowledge and skills to

  • explain the importance of a tailored budget
  • demonstrate how to compile a budget based on personal circumstances
  • identify how to review and agree an effective personal budget
  • descibe the key features and principles of the non statutory debt solutions: debt management plans, token payments and full and final settlements
  • outline the potential impact of each non statutory solution, and
  • explain the process involved in each non statutory debt solution.
