Local Debt Help Guide for Cambridge

Cambridge is likely to suffer heavily from government cuts announced in the Comprehensive Spending Review. With this in mind, we have prepared this Free Debt Help Guide for Cambridge.

The percentage of Cambridge’s workforce currently employed in the public sector is a massive 43%, meaning the planned public sector job cuts are set to hit Cambridge especially hard.

According to the government, up to ½ million public sector jobs will be lost through the cuts, although some economists put the figure closer to 725,000.

As well as these measures having a dramatic impact on regions like Cambridge where the workforce relies heavily on the public sector, their effect will be exacerbated by reductions in the welfare budget, including housing benefits, Child Benefit and Child Tax Credit.
