Personal bankruptcy affects people across England. From Northumberland to Cornwall the top ten English counties for bankruptcy show that there are insolvency blackspots across the country.
Why are these counties affected by personal bankruptcy more than most? One factor could be the lack of jobs in rural areas in the fallout from the 2008 credit crunch. Seven of the ten counties are predominantly rural in their geography.
