We provide free debt advice and a number of free solutions to people who are looking to resolve their financial issues.

Bankruptcy support
CCCS provides support to clients who have chosen bankruptcy.
Debt advice
Our primary service is providing free debt advice and debt counselling. We offer completely free support to help deal with varying levels of debt problems through our freephone helpline (0800 138 1111) and online via CCCS Debt Remedy, our anonymous internet-based debt counselling tool that is available at any time of the day from our website.
Many of our clients can be helped with comprehensive, self-help information and advice. Those with more serious debt problems may need to pursue a structured plan with our help and supervision.
The quality of our counselling means that many creditors now accept our repayment proposals without further checking and the repayment records of clients we have counselled are uniquely good. This is because we follow the two key principles of best advice and sustainable plans.
Debt management plan
In some cases, after a detailed budgeting review, debt management plans (DMPs) are recommended as a means of repaying debts over time in a way that the individual can afford. We act as an impartial ‘broker’ and help all parties involved to set up the plan and agree to the terms. Clients can track the progress of their debt repayments through our online service.
Debt relief order
CCCS is a Competent Authority that is authorised to submit debt relief order (DRO) applications.
Equity release
Through CCCSER, we offer a free equity release advice service to clients who have chosen this option as a way of dealing with their debts.
Individual voluntary arrangements
CCCSVA supports people who have chosen an individual voluntary arrangement (IVA) as a solution to their debt problem.
Money management guidance
CCCS Money Matters is an online tool that will give you clear and impartial money guidance tailored to your personal circumstances. It will give you the knowledge of key financial products that someone in your position should consider. You will get a free advice booklet outlining steps you can take to manage your financial position.
Mortgage support
CCCS has a mortgage counselling service that helps clients who are in arrears in their mortgages.
Self Employed advice
CCCS has a specialist counselling centre for the self-employed.
Welfare Benefits check
The CCCS centre for welfare benefits helps clients identify and claim benefits and other entitlements which they have not been receiving.
